The El Dorado News-Times is looking for a dedicated and dependable photographer to join its award-winning news staff.
This is an opportunity to practice journalism with a dynamic, profitable family-owned corporation that is one of the great success stories in the news industry.
The job is based in El Dorado, the county seat for Union County in South Central Arkansas and home to the thriving downtown Murphy Arts District.
This full-time photographer will shoot news and sports photos, as well as video for the News-Times. Must have experience using a DSLR. Experience shooting and editing video is a plus.
This job requires some work during the evening and on weekends. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to manage their time well and juggle multiple assignments.
A degree in photography, or a related field, from an accredited college or university is desired with at least one year of professional experience.

The El Dorado News-Times traces its roots back to the El Dorado Times, which first published in 1889. In 1928, C.E. Palmer purchased what had become the News-Times Publishing Co. Mr. Palmer’s son-in-law Walter Hussman, Sr. took over in 1957 after Palmer’s death. Hussman’s son, Walter Hussman, Jr. remains as Chairman of what is now known as WEHCO MEDIA, INC.
In addition to El Dorado, WEHCO MEDIA, INC. owns newspapers in Camden, Magnolia, Hot Springs and Texarkana, as well as the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock and the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Fayetteville, the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Chattanooga, Tennessee and three newspapers in central Missouri.
