Multimedia Sales Consultant
The El Dorado News-Times is looking for an experienced sales professional to join our advertising team.
We are a seven-day a week newspaper whose purpose is to provide local news and advertising to the Union County community through our print products, magazines and digital platforms.
This is a full-time outside sales position with a strong emphasis on both print and digital sales. We believe in a consultative selling approach and providing the best ROI possible for our advertisers.
Meet and/or exceed monthly sales goals by maintaining & growing a book of business.
Grow client base by consistently prospecting for new customers.
Develop & present sales presentations for new & existing clients.
Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Provide marketing solutions using an entire suite of products based on the needs of the client.
Network and promote a positive, consistent brand image of he El Dorado News-Times.
Must be highly motivated and possess drive & initiative.
Possess a strong work ethic.
Be a team player.
Have an eagerness to learn in an effort to consistently improve sales skills.
Be organized and detail-oriented.
Strong time management and follow up skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and deliver effective presentations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary plus a monthly commission program. Mileage reimbursement.

About this company
The El Dorado News-Times traces its roots back to the El Dorado Times, which first published in 1889. In 1928, C.E. Palmer purchased what had become the News-Times Publishing Co. Mr. Palmer’s son-in-law Walter Hussman, Sr. took over in 1957 after Palmer’s death. Hussman’s son, Walter Hussman, Jr. remains as Chairman of what is now known as WEHCO MEDIA, INC.
In addition to El Dorado, WEHCO MEDIA, INC. owns newspapers in Camden, Magnolia, Hot Springs and Texarkana, as well as the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock and the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Fayetteville, the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Chattanooga, Tennessee and three newspapers in central Missouri.
